Do you have any questions about this program?

We'll answer all your questions

No, the Ecouges is a challenging canyon with rappels of up to 28 meters. Prior canyoning experience is strongly recommended. If you’re a beginner, start with the Versoud Canyon or the Pont du Diable before tackling the Ecouges.
Ages 12 and up, provided you are comfortable in the water, in good physical condition, and not afraid of heights. The rappels are technical and require a certain amount of composure.
Yes, unlike most of our canyons, some of the rappels in Les Ecouges are mandatory. There are no alternative routes around these sections. This is what makes this canyon so challenging and why prior canyoning experience is essential. But don’t panic: the guide will outfit you, explain the technique, and stay by your side during every rappel. You’ll always be safe, even if your legs shake a little.
You need to be in generally good physical condition. The 25-minute walk back, which includes an elevation gain, is the most challenging part of the day. You don’t have to be an athlete, but you do need to be in good shape.
Yes, and even better than that. For groups of four who want to enjoy the ultimate canyoning experience in the Vercors, CANRIV offers the “Ecouges Intégrale” tour. It’s a full-day adventure that takes you through both the upper and lower sections of the Ecouges, rated 4/4. The highest difficulty level, the most spectacular scenery, and the most thrilling experience. Contact us to plan your day.
Yes, it’s the perfect outing for active bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Grenoble area. Impressive rappels, unforgettable jumps, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere in the Vercors. It’s an outing everyone will be talking about for a long time to come.
Yes! CANRIV offers souvenir packages to capture your rappels and jumps in Les Ecouges: Standard Package, Couples Package, and Premium Package. Ask your guide for pricing on the day of your activity.
The Ecouges Canyon is open from May through September. The best time to visit is from June through September, when water flow and temperature conditions in the Vercors are optimal.
